Circular Tourism: From Experiences in Germany and France to New Steps in Spain
How can we offer better experiences for visitors while using resources responsibly and protecting our destinations? Through Circular Tourism, we are exploring answers through collaboration and practical experience.
On Thursday, 8 October, project partners met online to review progress and prepare for the project partners’ meeting in Reus, Spain, on 17–19 November. This meeting will help coordinate the work ahead and the project’s next steps.
After 22 months of implementation, two study visits have been successfully completed in Germany and France, with businesses from Albania’s tourism sector taking part. Participants explored good practices in circular and sustainable tourism firsthand, gathering ideas to adapt to their own businesses.
Another opportunity to learn from international experience is now taking shape: a study visit to Spain is planned for early 2027, with broader participation from Albanian businesses.
Before this visit, a series of online training sessions on topics relevant to the tourism sector will offer knowledge and practical tools to support more sustainable approaches. We will share the topics and participation details soon.
