DERHE Newsletter | Edition 5 – June 2026
The fifth edition of the DERHE Newsletter focuses on direct cooperation between students, universities, and companies in addressing real industry challenges.
Through the project’s Information Portal, companies present practical problems, while students from partner universities work with the support of academic mentors and chambers of commerce to develop applicable solutions. One of the first projects focuses on optimizing parameters in FFF 3D-printing technology to improve the surface quality of manufactured parts.
The edition also presents the DERHE Student Hackathon 2026, where students from Tirana and Sarajevo developed green business strategies for two Bosnian companies using ESG principles and sustainable business models. In addition, more than ten Bachelor’s and Master’s theses are being developed with industry partners and co-mentors from European Union universities. This approach provides students with practical experience while strengthening the links between education, research, and entrepreneurship.
