DERHE Project Meeting Summary: March 6, 2024
On March 6, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the first meeting between partners in the DERHE project was held on the ZOOM platform.
The focus of the meeting was to address key updates and tasks related to the ongoing project.
Discussion centered on the academic staff training scheduled for June in Ghent, Belgium. It was highlighted that the training could also be conducted online, providing flexibility. Training topics such as energy, Industry 5.0, and others were mentioned. The sessions were noted as beneficial for gaining knowledge and networking opportunities.
Questions raised during the meeting highlighted the need to specifically address strategies for attracting female students. Suggestions included developing promotional workshops or online games, organizing sessions with female students in relevant fields, and incorporating blended learning methods tailored to their needs. The importance of promotional activities and collaboration with external partners, such as chambers of commerce, to attract more female participants was emphasized. However, it was recognized that detailed planning for this target group might be more feasible during the project implementation phase rather than at the initial stage.
