The CCIT chairman holds meeting with the ambassador of Kazakhstan, Mr. Yerkebulan Sapiyev

The chairman of Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Nikolin Jaka, welcomed in his office the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey, His Excellency Mr. Yerkebulan Sapiyev, as well as the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Albania, Mr. Afrim Pacolli.

The focus of this meeting was the further strengthening of relations and exchanges of entrepreneurs from both countries.

While emphasizing the continuation of the strengthening of the partnership between the two countries, Mr. Sapiyev pointed out Albania’s potential in tourism, where he listed his suggestions for the development of bilateral cooperation in this sector.

“We need to create a transport corridor to achieve this goal. Conduct analysis and research on transportation services. We can also create a working group to promote the tourism of the two countries and develop tourism packages.”

This proposal was positively received by the Head of the CCI Tirana, Mr. Jaka. During his speech, also mentioned the energy sector, especially renewable energies, as one of the most important sectors for the development of investments in our country.

“We are ready to organize business forums and why not even a tour to explore and present the concrete interests of the parties in tourism, energy, etc. The opportunities to invest in Albania are endless.”

During the meeting, Mr. Sapiyev also recalled the signing of the agreement in the United Nations Assembly on the mutual waiver of visas that will come into force in April this year, a step that will affect the growth of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

On the other hand, Mr. Afrim Pacolli, a representative of “Mabetex Group” and at the same time the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Albania, gave the idea of creating an organization to welcome Kazakhstani businessmen to Albania so that they see our country as an option to invest.

“I thank the government of Kazakhstan for the trust and help it has offered. My suggestion is to organize to bring Kazakh businessmen to Albania to show them where they can invest here.”

At the end of the meeting, the attendees expressed their determination to implement the proposals made during the meeting into concrete work.
