India-Albania Business Forum/ Albanian Entrepreneurs Sign Cooperation Agreements with Indian Companies

During an official visit to India by a business delegation from Albania, led by Mr. Nikolin Jaka, the head of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the India-Albania Business Forum took place in New Delhi. This forum, organized collaboratively by the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its counterpart Chamber in India (PHDCCI), aimed to explore commercial and investment potential between the two countries and foster opportunities for Albanian companies. The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chambers, along with two cooperation agreements between Albanian and Indian enterprises.

Mr. Jaka highlighted the significant potential for cooperation and stressed the importance of expanding economic and commercial relations through joint projects and initiatives.

“A piece of good news is that this forum witnessed the signing of two contracts by the Albanian delegation and an Indian enterprise, both in the manufacturing sector. What I observed during this visit is that the Indian business sector is keen on viewing Albania as an investment opportunity, beyond simply exporting products to the country. This aligns with our goal of transforming this cooperation and economic dialogue into an additional source of energy and value for Albanian entrepreneurship. I extend special thanks to the Executive Director for the warm reception, as well as for the commitment and willingness demonstrated by PHDCCI to arrange a visit to Albania”, remarked Mr. Jaka after the meeting.

Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, the Executive Director of PHDCCI, hailed the visit as a positive step towards fostering cooperation and developing a common communication agenda.

“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Nikolin Jaka, President of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with the accompanying business delegation. We highly value the presence of this delegation and anticipate robust cooperation between Albania and India, particularly between the two Chambers. This collaboration will benefit not only the current delegation members but also others in the future”, stated Dr. Ranjeet Mehta.

The B2B meetings featured companies primarily from sectors such as meat processing, textile production, paper and plastic manufacturing, sanitary products, food and industrial goods trading, vocational education and training, and scientific research.
