{"id":18123,"date":"2024-09-26T15:40:37","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T13:40:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cci.al\/?p=18123"},"modified":"2024-09-26T15:42:37","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T13:42:37","slug":"albanian-smes-in-global-value-chains-overview-and-future-prospects-for-the-manufacturing-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cci.al\/en\/albanian-smes-in-global-value-chains-overview-and-future-prospects-for-the-manufacturing-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Albanian SMEs in global value chains, overview and future prospects for the manufacturing sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This workshop is the second in the series of events planned in the framework of the ValueFacturing SMEs project, and<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">,<\/span> will be held in Tirana (Albania) on October 22<sup>nd,<\/sup> 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the activities carried out so far by the Consortium, the present workshop is aimed at promoting best practices in the context of social dialogue and furthering the expertise and knowledge of project partners and national and international stakeholders, while outlining the progress in the research developed during the preliminary phases of the project.<\/p>\n<p>During the morning session, a round-table discussion will take place with the object \u00a0to collect inputs on project topics to integrate the ValueFacturing SMEs main report. In the afternoon session, a training session will be delivered on project-related topics targeting participants in local companies such as the concept of global value chains (GVCs) in the manufacturing sector, factors that can foster\/hinder Albanian SMEs participation in GVCs, the role of social dialogue and collective bargaining in the governance of GVCs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main goal of the Project is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs in the manufacturing sector in global value chains through social dialogue. This will be done by investigating and fostering sectoral social dialogue practices (at both national and European levels) that can contribute to improve the quality of the European labour market in order to boost its attractiveness for starting and developing small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>Macro-objectives:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Building on national experiences, offering a contribution to social dialogue (not only national but also European) by bringing the specific issues addressed in the project to the attention of the social partners involved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Producing a multilingual decalogue containing practical procedures and guidelines for social dialogue at company, sectoral and European levels. The purpose is to replicate best practices and collective bargaining initiatives in other EU countries to improve the quality of labour markets and thus promote the competitiveness of global value chains.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Facilitating dialogue between employer organizations and trade unions (especially in contexts where industrial relations are underdeveloped) to improve the benefits to SMEs of effective and quality sectoral social dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cci.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/agenda.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18124 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cci.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/agenda.png\" alt=\"WORKSHOP AGENDA\" width=\"574\" height=\"759\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cci.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/agenda.png 574w, https:\/\/www.cci.al\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/agenda-400x529.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This workshop is the second in the series of events planned in the framework of the ValueFacturing SMEs project, and, will be held in Tirana (Albania) on October 22nd, 2024.
