BALKANET project staff of CCI Tirana composed by Mrs.\nViola Xhindi – Head of Projects Department, Mr. Arbi Hoxha \u2013 BALKANET Project Coordinator\nand Ms. Elida Boshnjaku \u2013 Project Technical Staff attended the 3 Day Events in\nthe framework of AGRA 2020 and activities such as study visit and B2B meetings,\nin Plovdiv, Bulgaria, during <\/strong>19th<\/sup>-21st <\/sup> of February 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first day event, CCIT\nproject staff together with Bulgarian partners from CCI Vratsa and the ARED Vratsa were part of \u201cThe\nInternational Agricultural Exhibition\u201d<\/strong>, in a dedicated common stand for\nBALKANET project. To the visitors were presented the project aim, activities\nand results achieved and expected ones. Lots of interest on the project was\nshown by the various visitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After\nthe exhibition, according to the agenda, CCIT project staff together with CCI\nVratsa one proceeded with a visit to the famous Bessa Valley winery<\/strong>, situated in Ognianovo village in Bulgaria. The\nvisit was hosted by the Manager of the winery who introduced to all the company\nactivity in terms of vines, technology, personnel, production and trade. The visit\nwas followed with interesting conversation with the participants and tasting of\nthe types of wines.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nthe second day event, CCIT project staff attended <\/strong>the thematic workshop\n\u201cInnovations in agri-food sector – the way towards\nsustainable transnational cooperation in Balkan-Mediterranean area\u201d\nwhich was organized by CCI\nVratsa in collaboration\nwith <\/strong>ARED<\/strong> Vratsa within AGRA 2020. During the workshop, interested\nparties presented the state of art of agro-food sector in Bulgaria, the advantages\nand problems to be solved.  At the\ncompletion of the workshop, CCIT project staff participated to mutual meetings with\nBulgarian representatives from research, academia and companies and discussed\non the possibility of cooperation together among which also on future common\nprojects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the workshop, the 2nd<\/sup> day event proceeded with the visit\nto the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development, Bulgaria, hosted by the Rector Prof. Mariana\nIvanova, and the Vice Rector Mrs. Patricia Georgieva.  Prof. Ivanova, introduced in brief the Bulgarian\nUniversity experience, projects implemented and under implementation in agro-food\nsector, mobility, education etc. During the meeting, CCIT along with the Agricultural\nUniversity of Tirana, showed interest to cooperate with University of\nAgribusiness and Rural Development, Bulgaria, in agri-food future projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nthe third day event, CCIT project staff attended <\/strong>the\nConference for the Agri-food Sector <\/strong>and <\/strong>B2B Meetings<\/strong>\nwithin AGRA 2020. Both activities were very interesting on knowing the agri-food\nsector from the theoretical aspect due to research papers made and practical\none from the companies activities. After these two activities, CCIT Project\nstaff together with Bulgarian partners joined a Cultural Visit to Plovdiv City<\/strong> by visiting the main historical and\ncultural landmarks of the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
