More than 50 Albanian and Slovenian businesses met today at the business forum “Albania-Slovenia”, organized in Tirana. In these specific meetings mainly in the field of infrastructure, technology, tourism, energy, agro-processing, etc., the entrepreneurs of the two countries had a working day and contacts that according to themselves were considered valid. The presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs were also part of this forum.

 

The President of the  Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana, Mr. Nikolin Jaka as the host of Slovenian entrepreneurs, thanking them for coming to Tirana stated that “our cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of our two countries is concretized early in the year 2009 with the cooperation agreement between our two chambers, leading us to permanent cooperation with the entrepreneurs of the two countries “. Thanking the Ministers for their presence in the forum, Jaka praised the importance of this meeting with the idea of taking concrete steps in business contracts between the entrepreneurs of the countries. ” I think that Our chamber in cooperation with the Embassy of Slovenia, the counterpart chamber  need to work more in the field of information exchange, especially for concrete funding opportunities such as: funds, Grants and financing schemes that can be provided by the Slovenian government in terms of competitiveness and innovation, and for the benefit of Albanian business “, he stated in his speech, adding that” today’s forum brings this important information from where we as we take the maximum responsibility in informing and promoting our enterprise to be beneficiaries of these advantages from foreign countries, specifically from Slovenia ”. His Slovenian counterpart, Matej Rogejl, sees our country as an opportunity for Slovenian entrepreneurs to invest their capital. He said in the forum that “it is important to establish constant contacts and see where our capital can be developed”. he said in his speech adding that “today’s forum brings this important information from where we as a chamber take maximum responsibility in informing and promoting our enterprise to be beneficiaries of these advantages from foreign countries, specifically from Slovenia ”. His Slovenian counterpart, Matej Rogejl, sees our country as an opportunity for Slovenian entrepreneurs to invest their capital. He stated in the forum that “it is important to establish constant contacts and see where our capital can be developed”.

 

While the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Miro Cerar greeted the Albanian-Slovenian Business Forum, appreciating the mutual interest and the real untapped potential so far, emphasizing that economic cooperation will be a priority for both the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and economic diplomacy.

 

Minister Bushati stressed that the Business Forum is the latest evidence of joint commitment and a confirmation of the real potential for increasing trade exchanges, strengthening economic cooperation, and encouraging investment. In this context, in the Albania-Slovenia Business Forum, the importance of cooperation in the field of tourism, energy, environment, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, etc. was emphasized.
