Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana signed a cooperation agreement with Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan
President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana, Mr. Nikolin Jaka officially visited Astana, Kazakhstan. Mr. Jaka, together with a group of entrepreneurs, members of Chamber were part of a delegation of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. This first visit of this level in this country also served to establish a new co-operation between our two Chambers, signing the cooperation agreement between the Tirana and Astana. President Jaka, considering this moment as important, said that “the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana and Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan is an important step in the revision of economic relations”. This according to Jaka is important for several reasons. “Our existing legal framework provides a suitable environment for foreign investments, especially for strategic sectors such as energy (hydro, hydrocarbons, solar and wind), mining, transport, telecommunications, agriculture, fishing, etc. An important sector is also agro-processing. The special characteristics in value and taste of Albanian agriculture products, the processing of bio products, would help increase the value of their exports and their variety to the market in Kazakhstan, “Jaka said.
The signing of the agreement took place after the meeting of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Cairat Abdrakhmanov.
At the meeting with Kazakh counterpart, Minister Bushati emphasized the importance of intensifying economic and trade relations, through the concretization of connections in various business sectors in areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
