Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana district appreciates that the recommendation for opening of the EU accession negotiations is important news for the Albanian entrepreneurship. The good news comes at an important time for the entrepreneurship, when it is already consolidated in the Albanian market and has overcome its limits; the opening of negotiations means a more important engagement for us.

The recommendation for opening of the negotiations is an important political signal for Albania and its citizens, indicating that the country is progressing successfully towards the next stage of the European integration process.

The recommendation for opening of the EU accession negotiations raises the relation between Albania and the EU at a higher level, expressing the appreciation and recognition of the 28 member states for the progress made on priority reforms.

From an economic perspective, the recommendation for opening negotiations is a positive signal for foreign investment and the security of local investments as well as the establishment of new partnerships between domestic and foreign entrepreneurship.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana reserves the right to make an open call to the entire Albanian political class, using this important moment for our country to move towards a national pact serving the citizens and private entrepreneurship. It is a necessity to draft a national development and economic policy, to define the priority sectors of the Albanian economy, in order to orient clearly and correctly, local and foreign enterprises where should their investments focus that generate economic stability, economic growth, increase of employment and increase of the welfare of Albanian citizens.

It is the best moment for the Albanian political class that this accord for economic development and stability becomes a new page of access and communication, dialogue and debate.

Private entrepreneurship should be an important part of the negotiation process. On the other hand, the government must take urgent measures to prepare and launch the experts and their training, which will be part of the expertise in negotiating the chapters in order to preserve national interests in line with the potentials and resources that our country has.

In this line we will require as soon as possible to determine the negotiators and the involvement of entrepreneurship in this process as we consider that this is already the most important stage for our country.

We appeal once more to the Albanian political class to be careful at this important stage for us and to include business in this process with all the capacities that have already been created.
