“Albania-Israel” business forum. Investment opportunities and perspectives on cooperation
The Embassy of Israel in Albania, in cooperation with the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Export Institute in Israel, held a business forum (B2B) on September 7, 2023.
A delegation of Israeli business representatives from the energy, cyber security technology, agriculture, water management and tourism sectors met the potential and concrete opportunities that Albania offers.
The chairman of CCIT, Mr. Nikolin Jaka, was part of the forum. At the beginning of his speech, Mr. Jaka thanked Israel’s ambassador to Albania, Mrs. Galit Peleg, for the invitation to collaborate, and welcomed the government delegation and representatives of Israeli businesses.
While emphasizing the strong relationship that exists between our two countries, Mr. Jaka also focused on the economic potential that Albania offers, as a country with many business opportunities, and that thanks to its geographical position in the Western Balkans can serve as an important junction for foreign investment throughout the region.
With the intention to intensify the dialogue between enterprises and to go towards the concretization of joint projects, Mr. Jaka expressed the willingness of CCIT to engage in increasing the flow of information for Israeli businesses that want to invest in Albania.
A more structured presentation of CCIT activity was reflected by the General Secretary of CCIT, Mrs. Albana Laknori.
Meanwhile, Israel’s ambassador to Albania, Ms. Galit Peleg, emphasized the need to continue strengthening cooperation, while calling on the Israeli businesses present in this activity to convey to other Israeli investors the potential that Albania has offers.
Present at the forum were Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, as well as the Mayor of Tirana, Mr. Erion Veliaj, who focused on the changes and achievements that the most priority sectors such as energy, technology, infrastructure, etc. have undergone in recent years. Also, the interested parties were invited to expand the possibilities of cooperation through this forum.
At the end of the activity, Albanian and Israeli entrepreneurs held B2B meetings, establishing new bridges of communication and mutual interest.
